Key ingredients per daily serving

  • 800mg of Maca –also called “Peruvian Ginseng”, this plant is used by sportsmen and women as it allows quick and full recovery after heavy sports efforts. Maca has a positive effect on the mind. It supports stamina, gives more energy and helps to keep the hormone levels in balance.(1) Maca also helps people who practice endurance sports to get faster .(2)
  • The three main advantages of Maca for endurance sportsmen and women are:
    1. Supports stamina
Maca supports the defence mechanism and helps to recover faster from fatigue exhaustion. Maca promotes improvement in stamina and concentration and provides more energy. Athletes and people who practice endurance sports use Maca in order to be able to work out more.
    2. Supports an optimal testosterone production
Maca is an adaptogen which keeps the body in balance during heavy physical and psychological stress. It also contains glycosides which support an optimal testosterone production.
    3. Decrease of lactic acid
During intense physical efforts, our body produces lactic acid. This causes muscle acidification and, consequently, fatigue. Maca helps our body to evacuate the lactic acid after intense workouts. It allows faster/full recovery and provides more energy.
  • 500mg of Ashwagandha – this extract is traditionally used to support the hormone system.(3) Recent research showed that a supplement of 500mg of Ashwagandha increases maximum sprint speed by 3 percent and maximum oxygen absorption [VO2max] by 7 percent. (4) Moreover, Ashwaganadha is an adaptogen which helps to decrease cortisol levels. It also contains choline which provides mental support.
Ashwagandha  is a tonic which helps:
    • against an overstrained and overtrained body
    • against a lack of energy and exhaustion
    • to block the effect of free radicals
    • to keep muscles and joints healthy
    • against restlessness, aggressiveness or stress caused by tension
    • against a weak immune system or resistance
  • 400mg Powergrape® – this extract of polyphenols increases the “power output” of athletes by 2% during physical efforts.(5) Research showed that the intake of a supplement of 400mg of Powergrape ® helps to increase recovery capacity by 8%. It also showed that training sessions cause less muscle damage and that the blood contained more antioxidants.
  • 300mg of Rhodiola Rosea – it activates the effect of the AMPK enzyme. More AMPK means better fat burning and an increased glucose absorption by the muscle cells.(6) Rhodiola Rosea is extremely efficient in improving stamina and oxygen absorption. Researchers at the university of Leuven discovered that is become efficient as from the very first intake of 200mg.(7) When using Rhodiola Rosea, sportsmen and women also recovered faster after intense workouts.
  • 130mg of natural caffeine from Guarana (500mg) and Kola Nut (200mg) - people who practice endurance sports use caffeine in order to fight fatigue; sprinters use it to improve their reaction time and people who practise strength sports take it to increase maximum force. It has been proven that after taking caffeine, people who practice endurance sport become faster and can sustain their efforts longer. (8)(9) Caffeine also has a positive effect on endurance efforts thanks to its glycogen saving effect. Thanks to caffeine, the body draws on the fat reserves first, so glycogen reserves are saved for the competition. Caffeine also helps to stay alert, because it has an influence on the adrenaline levels.
  • 100mg of Red Ginseng – Red Ginseng contains ginsenosides which have an adaptogenic effect. Red Ginseng gives more energy, has a tonic effect against exhaustion and also improves resistance.(10) Moreover, this plant has a positive influence on stamina, force, concentration levels and response capacity.
  • 100mg of Co-enzyme Q10 – Co-enzyme Q10 protects the cell membranes against damage caused by free radicals released during intense physical efforts. Therefore, endurance efforts cause less damage to the muscle cells and recovery is quicker. Also, the Co-enzyme Q10 makes people who practice endurance sports and who are tired sprint faster.(11)  This substance is also thought to improve stamina.(12)
