  • 28g Maltodextrin

  Maltodextrin is easily digested and converted to energy making it an ideal ingredient for sports drinks. Similar to other carbohydrates, maltodextrin decreases glycogen breakdown during long-duration exercise.⁽²⁾ When combined with protein, maltodextrins can enhance glycogen recovery and stimulate muscle protein synthesis after exercise.⁽³⁾ It increases your training intensity and improves your force, resistance and stamina.

 

  • 2g L-Citrulline Malate

L-citrulline is a very good all-round ingredient. First of all, L-citrulline malate is an NO precursor. As NO (Nitric Oxide) widens the blood vessels and makes them more flexible, it increases the amount of blood that the heart can pump - and thus the amount of oxygen and nutrients transported to the muscles.⁽⁴⁾ This extra source of oxygen and nutrients is important because it allows you to build up the energy you need during your workout and prevents you from getting tired quickly.⁽⁵⁾ Improving your blood flow also helps to improve your muscle pump. And even though the pump in itself is a short-term phenomenon, it is nonetheless important for muscle growth.
